Accounts Payable

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for performing routine accounting work related to the accounts payable function.

Chef de Partie

Responsible for managing a given station in the kitchen, specializing in preparing particular dishes. May act as Communard, preparing staff meals.

Deckhand

The Deckhand (O/S) will assist in the upkeep of the exterior of the vessel and participates in vessel operations, emergency situations, safety issues and security measures, including the well-being of the passengers and crewmembers at all times while on duty.

Hotel Manager

The Hotel Manager supervises all hotel operations on board the ship, train and manage the hotel staff. Direct contact with passengers requires courteous and accommodating behavior. The Hotel Manager will ensure that the high standards of the guests are met, reflecting the company's professionalism and service. In addition, the Hotel Manager will be responsible for fiscal management of the he hotel operations and communicate with the Captain all problems that concerns.

Income Auditor

The Income Auditor is responsible for the accuracy of daily revenue and settlements are balanced; monitors income performance; maintains income and cash journals

Linen Attendant

Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, to ensure guest satisfaction and a future return. The Linen Attendant is expected to provide prompt, courteous, friendly and professional service to all guests at all times. They are responsible for maintaining superior quality service for guests. They are required to be detailed in every aspect of their work while maintaining an efficient pace. The Linen Attendant will adhere to all rules and guidelines as set to all department employees.

Maitre’D Hotel

The Maitre d' hotel is responsible for the overall management of the dining room. This includes managing the staff and making station assignments. Acts as a host and ensures proper maintenance of the dining room. Coordinates activities of the kitchen and dining room staff, and ensure that customers are properly served.

Patissier

Prepares desserts and other meal-end sweets, and for locations without a boulanger, also prepares breads and other baked items; may also prepare pasta.

Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for accurately issuing pay to employees by calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established practices and guidelines.

Plounger/Apprentis

The Ploungeur/Apprentis is responsible for the cleanliness of the galley to include dishwashing, with the opportunity to understudy the line/prep cooks.

Porter

Under the supervision of the Hotel Manager, the Porter is responsible for the handling of passenger luggage, assisting the guests on and off the boat, making deliveries to passenger cabins, the removal of trash from the boat, light to heavy janitorial work and is primarily responsible for maintaining the interior public areas of the boat and various task related to guest service.

Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for purchasing materials, equipment and supplies for French America Line.

Purser

The Purser is responsible for the company safe and the handling of company money. Ship clearance and the handling of all ship documents are also under their administration.

Rotisseur

Responsible for managing a given station in the kitchen, specializing in the preparation of meat, including but not limited to roasted, broiled, and braised and deep fried dishes.
